THE GOLD RUSH TASK PLANNING-
SETTING
For the setting we have decided to use the sauna at school. For the inside shots we will use an empty classroom which is easy enough to turn into a room that resembles Hank Curtis’s cabin as there are tables and chairs to put in the middle of the room. As it will be black and white and the lighting is quite dark, the smaller details don’t matter too much. For the outside shots the exterior of the sports shed is good because it’s made of wood and looks quite a lot like a cabin. Outside of it there’s a patch of grass which will be useful for the shot of Chaplin approaching the cabin.
COSTUME
For the costume we will be using an oversized suit for Chaplin as it’ll add to his scruffy look. This will be accompanied by a bowler hat. As well as a plastic or paper bag of some sort for his foot. Hank Curtis will also be wearing a suit with a vest.
